The presence of mini-note in personal computer market is a response to the current trends in computing machines. Sub-Notebook is designed especially for professionals, students and those with a high level of mobility. The Portability is seen on the compact design of a mini-note with a light weight, about 1 kg-1, 5 kg, so it is easy to be saved in the bag and interesting option for those who are reluctant to bring heavy laptop computer. Mini-note PC specification also has a fully functional, so do not reduce the ability of computation even though it comes in a mini design.

Dear Guys, do have a plan to build your own computer. Yeah, that a great idea. Computers (PC, Laptop, whatever) become familiar. Especially for PC (Personal Computer), almost every student has it at home, so it will be funny to build your own with prefer hardware specification. Hmmm, first consider your budget. If you has about $200 bucks. It’s enough for you to build e.g. Intel Core Duo Computer with standard hardware specification. Be sure to update hardware price from media or by your internet. It’s up to you whether you want to build an office computer, gamer computer, even super computer. Check the money and list hardware specification you want, and then ready for buying.
All you need such as: Processor (Intel LGA or AMD), Supported Motherboard, Hardisk, RAM, Chasing (Power Supply included), Monitor / LCD, Optical Drive e.g. DVD-ROM, Keyboard + Mouse, VGA Card (Optional for graphics), and some additional e.g. speaker, printer, etc.
Begin to build up. Important thing, you must read / see the scheme of motherboard manual. You can see how to put motherboard to chasing and how to connect every hardwares to the ports. Don’t be afraid, every port has unique design so we’ll not be wrong to plug the hardwares into the ports. Just push and snap them. Those are Processor, RAM, VGA Card, Hardisk, Power Supply, Optical Drive, other chasing plugs for e.g. USB Bus, Power On/Off Panel, chasing fan, and Beep Speaker. After you put and screw tightly those hardwares on right place in the chasing. Close the cover, then plug the monitor, power cable, speaker, and printer on back panel of chasing.
Now you’ve build new computer and ready for installing with your prefer operating system. Good Luck!

  • DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BIOS AND CMOS

Commonly, some pupils / students don’t know exactly difference between BIOS and CMOS. I would to tell you, if BIOS is a program (software) then CMOS is a chip (hardware). Even both has same mean and intention but they are different. BIOS or Basic Input Output System is more referring to program that you are able to see on monitor screen. Yes, if you press DEL key when computer boot up to access CMOS, the program which able to be seen that is be in fact / exactly called BIOS rather than CMOS. Meanwhile CMOS or Complimentary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor is a chip which is put down integrated with Motherboard.

  • Another way to speed up your PC is to see which are the programs you have installed and see if you need any applications or not. To do this, click Start – Settings – Control Panel – double-click Add / Remove Programs.
Most likely, you will find programs that you used once or twice. Removing them will free disk space and make your PC run faster.
    When you uninstall software not
Removing software should not be as smooth as one who hopes. A very common problem is that some programs do not remove all their data completely, leaving behind some files. These files are called junk files.
Sometimes you need to uninstall the trial version of software, to record the full version. But if the uninstall process is not complete, you may not be able to record the program you paid.
If the uninstaller does not work, it may be possible to manually remove the software. This means that you must remove all files and configuration data from your hard disk. Normally, the software uses the Windows registry to store configuration information.
First, you need to find the folder where the program was installed. More likely is the Program Files directory. Locate the folder and delete the software. If it is impossible to delete some files, try restarting your computer. This will help if the files were used by the system. If you can not delete files, even after a reboot, try booting in safe mode (F8 during boot tap PC) and then delete the file.
After that you need to remove the registry entries invalid. Microsoft offers a free Windows Installer CleanUp to help you do the job. After you install and open, select an application you want to remove from the list. The utility removes all the registry entries relating to that software. Double check what applications and select the backup of the registry in case something goes wrong.
If you are running Windows Installer CleanUp does not solve the problem, you can use third of the registry cleaner. Be careful to use only well-known software that has received positive reviews and reliable prizes. There are a lot of programs that claim to be great, but in reality they contain malware and spyware, and can damage the computer.

  • BASIC SELF-TROUBLESHOOTING OF DSL MODEM

Common problems DSL modem does not include downloads, slow download, or download a second Blaze then crawl the next. Flashing lights on the modem, strange errors with cryptic codes, loose cables, routers and problems can mess things up, too. (A router is a device that sits between your DSL modem and the Internet, but lets you share your Internet connection among several computers)

Before you can fix your modem, you need to know what type of modem you have. In general, DSL modems are available in two variants: Ethernet and USB. An Ethernet modem connects to the computer using a cable network standard is most often blue-with RJ-45 jack (look very similar jack, only bigger). To use an Ethernet modem, you need to have a notebook or desktop with a network adapter, also called a network adapter. Conversely, the USB modem to connect your computer via a USB port, and tend to be installed without much fuss. Some modems offer both Ethernet and USB connections.

You can also some nuts and bolts-information such as your modem brand and model, where you must contact the manufacturer. The easiest way to find is to look at the modem itself. On the bottom, you see a label with the name of the manufacturer and model of modem and serial numbers.
