Firefox Mobile (Fennec) developer is still focusing on the development for Linux and Windows Mobile platforms. But according to the Gartner statistics 49.8% smart phone market is dominated by Symbian, and right away Mozilla decided to start working on a Symbian version.

There are also several other platforms such as the iPhone, Rim (BlackBerry) and Android that will be popular ones, but these market will not be touched because the Mozilla license and or technical reasons.

Mozilla is targeting the completion of simple browsing features in February 2009 and full browsing features by the end of April 2009. Fennec Beta Version will be released soon after the full completion.

Update OS X version 10.5.6 is available for users Mac OS X Leopard. This version is the sixth update since Leopard was first released in October 2007 and as usual this update also comes with performance improvements, bugs and security fixing.

Apple has announced a list of changes brought to this OS X 10.5.6 update such as:
- Increased stability in the airport connection, address list synchronization with iPhone and other devices
- Repairs graphics distortion problems for users who use ATI graphics card.
- Automatically synchronize list of contacts, calendars and bookmarks within a few minutes after the change on the computer, or other devices from MobileMe.
- Improved performance of Apple File Service, especially for home directory hosted on AFP server
- Repairs the Time Machine problem in finding the location of backup file.
- Increased reliability Time Machine with Time Capsule
- Increased stability and performance of AT & T 3G card.
- Improvement in printing performance of Canon printers
- Support for Blu-ray video formats
- Add the Trackpad System Preference panel for Mac Laptop.

Most of people (Included me) still use Microsoft Products e.g. Windows XP as Operating System. But they are vulnerable against virus and most of variants of virus run in this platform. So, if we don’t want a virus infect our computer. For defense, we try freeware and licensed antivirus. Monthly, weekly, even daily we keep updating it. But it’s not a guarantee for virus can’t affect your computer. Besides direct internet connection, they are also infect from external removable media e.g. flash disk which is familiar as data storage. Hundreds new variants of virus are shared throughout flash disk indented or not. So, don’t depend your computer protection on anti virus entirely. You must be alert from virus indication.

I would like to give tips esp. for Win 9x, 2k, or XP. Old School, but it’s still working. First, make sure none explorer window is opened when you plug a flash disk, then from Run type “cmd” to enter DOS window. Go to drive where flash disk specified by windows e.g. [D:] [E:] [F:]. Then type command “attrib –r –a –s –h /d /s”. This command means that you will off attribute of files inside which [r] read only, [a] achieve, [s] system, [h] hidden (including files in [d] directory and [s] subdirectory). Viruses usually set this entire attribute on, in order to make you hard to recognize them. After that viruses will freeze to infect and it’s up to whether you want to delete it manually. They usually have .exe .scr .com extension. Also it helps your antivirus to recognize them and it will delete them automatically for you.

Or if you are too lazy to do this, I would like to share an application which basely has same way. I’ve got it from a friend of mine which called “FDGuard”. Automatically it runs “attrib –r –a –s –h” command and change .exe .scr and .com extension (not include files in folder and subfolder).
