Apple announced on Wednesday that the year 2009 will be the last year for Apple to participate in the event of Macworld as an annually conference to discuss specifically a variety of Apple products. Furthermore Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple who always comes to open the event with his speech will not be present at the upcoming Macworld. Philip Schiller, senior VP international marketing division will represent Jobs to open Macworld 2009.
The official reason given that absence of Jobs in Macworld is because Apple is now reaching many people in more ways than before, as well as many other companies, the conference is only a small part of Apple programs to reach consumers.
The popularity of Apple retail stores that visited by more than 3.5 million people every week and Apple.com web service allow Apple to directly reach hundreds of millions of visitors around the world with new innovative ways. In the last few years, Apple began to gradually reduce the participation in Macworld including Macworld New York, Macworld Tokyo and Apple Expo in Paris.
Macworld is annually event that has been held for 25 years and usually the place where Apple announced the newest product in iPhone such as Macworld 2007 and MacBook Air at Macworld 2008. Macworld Conference & Expo get strong support from tens of thousands of people in the Mac community all over the world as a way to find good products, participate in training and network development for personnel or professionals interest
